For over two decades, aviation hasn't just been my career; it has been my life. From the jumpseat of a Douglas DC-9 flying alongside my father to my current role at Simaero, I have occupied every seat in the industry.

Today, I sit at the intersection of three critical worlds: Leadership, Training, and Strategy.

The Mission: Stay Ahead of the Aircraft

In the cockpit, the golden rule is simple: Stay ahead of the aircraft. If you fall behind, you stop leading and start reacting.

I have spent my career applying that same discipline to the business of aviation. As a General Manager at Simaero, I oversee a team focused on precision, compliance, and results. I’ve implemented digital training platforms and automated systems required to make airline training scalable and resilient—ensuring the next generation of pilots is prepared for an AI-enhanced, digital future.

The Architecture of Command

I believe that technical skill alone is not enough. You can fly the jet, but if you cannot lead yourself, you remain at the mercy of the industry.

Through Sim Trainer One, I have delivered over 3,500 courses to pilots worldwide, bridging the gap between flight school theory and operational reality.

Through Kaizen Command, I partner with industry leaders to install the "Leadership SOPs" required to sharpen decision-making and build career leverage.

Since 2019, I have hosted the Bryan Air Podcast. Ranked by Feedspot as the #1 Management Podcast in South Africa (2025), the show has become the "Digital Crew Lounge" for listeners in over 40 countries. With over 250 episodes, we unpack the boardroom decisions that land on your flight deck—all with the unmistakable South African honesty that defines the crew room at 38,000 feet.
